Immaculate CL

If you like your CL's spotless and immaculate, this is the CL for you! Brand new CL with lovely hardstanding pitches and spotless facilities. We used it twice as a stopover en route between Essex and Scotland, and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. It's on a fast, busy main road, so there is a fair bit of road noise, but that didn't bother us as we're used to it (it was actually the birdsong that woke me up early!). Best to turn into the site from the opposite side of the road (the eastbound side). Motor-mover was needed to manoeuvre the caravan into the pitch. Communication with the site owners was excellent. Will definitely use again.

Great find of this newly opened site

We were the first to book and stay on this site as they’d only just opened! Great ease of booking and good communication from Allison and Stephen. Welcomed on site upon arrival by Stephen and as we were the first to stay, had the pick of pitches. We were provided with a mobile phone number in case we needed anything during our stay. Generous and level hardstanding fully serviced pitches with EHU all included. Site is based next to a busy road so be careful when turning in/out of site. That said, the road noise didn’t bother us during our stay. Shower block and toilets were brand new and modern with separate gents and ladies facilities, both with 2 WC’s and a good sized shower in each. Great location for exploring the local area on bikes and on foot and with Skipwith Common opposite the site, which is accessible a short distance down the road, was great for dog walking on warmer days as there is plenty of shade. We did cycle to York as it’s quite easy to get on National Cycle route 65 from the site and the area is really flat (good job too as I took my e-bike but forgot the key to fix the battery onto it!!!). Through Skipwith Common you can go into Skipwith village and find The Drovers Arms pub with amazing food and service. I would certainly visit this site again as there’s still more we want to explore in the area and found this a great base from which to so.
