Welcoming and peaceful site.
We came for a week's relaxation and recuperation from our busy lives. We could not have picked better! The site was well maintained with Sue being welcoming. Sue and Nick were friendly and helpful giving much needed info on the surrounding area with places to walk the dogs (bear left by the Bear!).
Sue sells jam and marmalade which was scrummy and wonderful on toast.
The local common just across the road from the site was good for walking the dogs and in the evening we were often in conversation with other dog owners who lived nearby.
We enjoyed walks and visiting local towns and villages. The nearby village of Nailsworth had a
Morrisons and very friendly people when you walked around the assortment of shops with a lovely bakery.
Our dog needed some veterinary care after a nasty tick bite and the local vets was helpful and knowledgeable with a friendly attitude.
Gloucester cathedral is a must see as is the docks area for coffee. Cirencester was a lovely market town with friendly chatty locals.
The whole week refreshed both of us and our dogs and parrot. We came away relaxed and trying to work out when we could come again.
