Great stop over for us

This is the second time we have visited the site, we stayed 2 nights visiting relatives nearby after our vacation in Norfolk. Nice out of the way quiet place and a good place if you are exploring Cambridge. If you consider going to an airshow at Duxford you need to book in here.

Great CL

Lovely level site very tidy and quiet. Warm welcome by Brian who was very helpful and gave us information on places to visit. Will definitely visit this site again as it is conveniently located for many attractions NT and English Heritage.

Wonderful start to 2016 season

Booked this site for a try out for the 2016 season as the unit had been winterised. Easy access to site, friendly welcome and easy to pitch up. OH was well pleased that i had set of early and had every thing completed by the time she arrived! Brian was very welcoming and soon showed me around the facilities. The site is well located for Cambridge, Ely, Duxford (well recommend visit to air museum) and is in a very pretty area - much of the area is private roads with pretty villages and a great deal of horse paddocks around (well its not that far from Newmarket after all).  For photos of the site and a more detailed review please visit  http://shelbeysadventures.weebly.com/apple-tree-cottage.html

Lovely CL

This is a lovely site. There's plenty of space between pitches, on flat, well kept grass. Within reasonable distance of Cambridge, Ely and Saffron Walden. It's not far to the Park and Ride near Cherry Hinton, Cambridge. Would certainly recommend this CL.

Well worth a visit

Good level site with lawn quality grass. Toilet is excellent - one of the best I've seen on a CL. Point to note is that South Road is a single track private road but very straight from turn off main road to the CL and passing places are easily spotted as is any oncoming traffic. Very friendly welcome and Brian is happy to assist anyone to reverse onto pitch if they are not comfortable doing so (or so we observed). Easy proximity to IWM Duxford (aircraft museum) which will fill your day as well as plenty of exercise! We found that M11 J10 onto A505 was a good route for us. Acorn Garage Little Abington we found to have the cheapest petrol within a reasonable travelling distance.

Perfect

I can't rate this CL highly enough. We arrived very late because of the traffic but Brian was waiting for us and helped us pitch up. The site is peaceful and easy to find with everything close to hand. We will definitely be going back.

Just a very nice site...

We arrived at the site during an afternoon and were welcomed by the owners and shown to our pitch. the site is well established with flat nicely mowen grass..the area is surrounded on two sides by a hedge and the remaining view is over the fields. The owners have made every effort for their visitors to know about recycling, where the chemical waste is situated etc. the pitches are individually marked and the electrics easy to find. Prior to leaving home, we found our fridge had stopped working and while 'on site' Brian kindly offered the use of his 'spare' fridge I also had a bike tyre burst and he very kindly lent a bike so that I could visit the village. All in all,The owners of this lovely C.L couldn't have been kinder..just what you need when things are going wrong!! The site is about two miles from the nearest village but quite an easy bike ride where a bus to Cambridge or Haverhill runs every half hour. There is a post office/general store, a pub and the church is fairly near these places. this is undoubtedly a very peaceful site and worth a stay if you want to visit Cambridge & the surrounding area.
