Perfect, peaceful site.

Recommended to the site whilst out cycling hte nearby Elan Valley. A must visit so we did! Beautifully maintained grass site, made all the better for it's simplicity (water/waste/bins). If self contained it's perfect. Stunning walks up the Rheidol Valley from site to Devil's Bridge plus cycle path to coast. If you like tranquility and getting away from it all, this is for you. Booking by email, very friendly owner who comes to out to site to meet. Will definitely return.

Peaceful and Scenic

We stayed on this site last week. we hadn't booked, just phoned ahead and were invited to just drive in and park up. We were welcomed later by the site owner and then left to enjoy the peace and tranquility. Despite being surrounded by hills and dales, the pitches are flat and sited next to a beautiful river. There is plenty of space and easy access to fresh water and rubbish disposal. Recommended if you want peace and quiet and easy access into town

Perfect break

Just returned from a lovely Easter break at Aberffrwd Farm. Booking was easy by email, Janet the owner responded quickly to messages and arranged to call and meet us the morning after we arrived. Janet was very friendly and helpful, as was her husband who we met briefly. The grass had been cut around the fenced water and waste points which were easy to spot as we drove up the field. We were able to choose our spot to pitch up. Access to the site is easy. The setting is beautiful, perfect for long or short walks straight from the site, bike rides, exploring the local area or just relaxing. All in all a perfect break for us, we highly recommend this site and will definitely return.

Peace and tranquility

This is my perfect type of CL. Lots of space, just the basic facilities of water and waste, and a great rural setting.

Great site with stunning views

If you are looking for a site with all mod cons then stay away, this is a site offering basic facilities, [water and waste] and is all the better for it. The site is split over 2 levels, the access to the top level is grass and can be a little tricky when very wet but the field dries really quickly and we never had any issues despite the Welsh weather showing us what it could do! We stayed for 10 nights and it is so calm and relaxing, the views of the surrounding hills are fabulous. There are walks directly from the site, a couple of circular walks we tried [about 4 miles and 2 miles] were ideal for us although you could walk much further if you wanted. The site is on a cycle route from Aberystwyth to Devils Bridge I believe. The owner called a number of times during our visit and was always most helpful and a wealth of local knowledge. Looking forward to returning to the site again in the future.
