We’ve just returned from a lovely weekend at Abbey View, it really is a cracking site and we could indeed enjoy views of the enchanting Whitby Abbey directly from our pitch. Arrival couldn’t be much easier - your name and pitch allocation are shown on a board at the entrance, there is loads of space and no need for a welcome committee, rest assured that at some point of your stay Mr Hall will pop round to collect the balance of site fees. It was our second stay with Mr Hall having stopped on his neighbouring Toft Hill site earlier in the year, both sites feature tons of space, beautifully cropped grass and convenient facilities. The nearby Forge Inn (within very easy walking distance) serves excellent food, ales and a selection of guest gins at quite reasonable prices. Buses into Whitby & beyond pass very regularly (although we didn’t use their services), and there are some lovely walks directly from the site. I expect to return many times in the future to our latest gem! Happy Holidays!
