Tranquility
We had a two night break here recently. We had chosen it specifically for the scenic and quiet location. We knew the owner might not be there at our arrival but he had given us good instructions just in case. The five pitches are shale, rather than pea gravel. One pitch appeared too far from ehu, even with two cables connected. We were a little disappointed with toilet facilities, which were a little tired and could do with sprucing up. It was the weekend before Easter and so the tearoom wasn't open yet, which may have impacted on the lack of hot water and general grubiness of the toilets. The owner was friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The views are spectacular. The first night, we had a visit from some deer, who grazed right next to our van. The second night, the wind blew a proper Highland hooley, which was pretty scary. The Loch side is easily reached and well worth a loch side walk. A lovely area to visit, if you enjoy peace and tranquility.
