Wasting electricity inequality

As a motorhomer my peception is that caravanners use a lot of electricity with 3KW kettles microwaves awning heaters etc.fan heaters etc My campervan doesn't have these so a flat rate electricty charge means that I pay for something I neither need nor get. The Club have said that metered supplies have been considered but are too expensive to install. In Denmark some sites use an inexpensive in-line meter issued at reception on checkin. You pay for what you use at about 30p per KW. We typically used less than 1KW in 24 hours. Probably many members would think this was a bad idea but it would bring a degree of equality AND discourage waste
