  • While I am thinking about buying the cooler that Merve mentioned I tripped over a USB fan in Dunelm today.  6" fan and it looked ideal for the not too hot days for £8 I didn't think I could go far wrong!

There is a technical limitation on the amount of power that can be supplied by a USB outlet, so despite the size, you may find this fan a bit lacking in throughput.  There are fans available that connect to the 12v sockets formerly known as cigar lighters, and they have a goodly performance.

We bought one in Robert Dyas a while back. It gave good service back in June when we had that scorching weather.

I am certainly not expecting expecting a Rolls Royce performance - but a little air movement sometimes is useful I like the idea of a bowl of ice  in front of it too

If you add a spray bottle to that Pippah, and give yourself a fine misting it will double the effectiveness of it! As Nav says-  12v would probably work better. I answered the problem with the Safefill map download  - hope you saw it!
