Not using hook up at home...

We recently brought the van out of storage for a couple of days prior to going away. Likewise on our return we kept it on the drive for a few days. We kept it hooked up with the heating on at 16 degrees at 3 KW. We have been on a smart electric meter so can measure our use per half hour. The upsurge in use was very dramatic and compared to last November we used double the power so double(ish) the cost.

We will definitely limit the time we have the van on hook up at home and lower the temperature and/or power used.

Just goes to show how big the clubs bill is, and an argument for metered hookups with a basic amount in the pitch fee and extra charged for, so only heavy users get to pay for what they use.
