Though this scheme has now ended does anyone know if anything similar is likely to be introduced again any time soon

Or do I just continue to stay away from CAMC main sites & stick with CL's

the threat that you talk of, is that just you surmising or do you know something is in the pipeline ?

Nothing at all in the pipeline, just one of the usual negative posts.

This is probably the discussion about "dynamic pricing" early in the thread there is information posted by the club in response to a query about raising costs for late bookings.

Thanks all for your suggestions. I have just looked at both of the CLs and the commercial sites recommended by TW. What is really annoying is that the prices for the CLs as listed on the club's web site nowhere matches that now being charged by the CLs, Dallachullish listed as £19 is now £24 pn, and Bioran Dubh listed at £20 (in fact it's 2016 price) is £32!!😯

Now back to midweek discounts. Last year we had 4 nights at Craigie Gardens during the last week in March and the total cost was £66:88 with the MWD, this year for a similar 4 nights it would be £113:60!

No surmising but that is the effective outcome of deposits "plus" dynamic pricing.

In case anyone anticipates reductions at the last minute to fill pitches, watch out for the aeronautical ungulates.

Re above - the £1 reduction is for CAMC members

Posted on 15/02/2023 07:58

Whilst it's only a £1, is this this the start of the battle of the memberships?

We haven’t stayed, but know the area well, lovely location. Lauder is a nice little Border town, good bakery and Deli. Lots to do around the Castle, 20% discount to get in for visitors to Site. Good one for your GKs Kjell👍
