Just had a quick look and I'm struggling to find anything that looks as if it has actually been reduced - certainly not the 20 - 30% they're claiming??

Went in Maplins a few weeks ago (prior to the crash!) for some black HP printer ink. It was £17 and I pointed out Asda cost was £13 for same HP ink. They agreed to match the price instantly but I still went back to Asda - thats me to a T.

Point? Watch what you are buying and is it the 'bargain' they claim.

Hi

I'll agree, went into maplins in Plymouth today to look at satellite receivers. They have a new humax freesat box with 10% off, that still made it £60 more than the one I've just bought from humax direct?!!cry

I'd have thought a store chain that's closing down would have some proper bargains, not twenty odd quid off an already overpriced item. Rip off Britain caught up with them perhaps?undecided

Our local maplins has already closed, but i have to agree about a lot of the "reduced" prices, when at Ferry Meadows last week had a look at the Peterborough branch and it looked as if the "discounts" seemed a bit high pricedundecided
