Halogen Oven - save on the gas

We have just come back from a 7 week holiday and as we used sites with EHU, I took my halogen oven with me.  Cooks beautifully, even ready meals, and of course meant that I didn't use any gas.  In fact I only used my gas hob once, that was because I wanted to do baked beans, and they do tend to explode a bit done in an oven, lol.  Also have electric kettle and toaster, but I guess most people have those.  Our van doesn't have a microwave and mine at home is a combination one, but much too big to take with us.  What other items do people take with them to save money?
