When considering a site we have never visited we watch the club site video from this website. I have found the bets solution for pitch preference is to use the postcode and view the site on Google earth, especially useful for spotting tha pitches and their relationship to the washing block and the roads, you can even go to street view and look at the site entrance, giving you an insite what you are looking for and the road access.
