Glasses storage ideas

We have resorted to useing the cardboard wine carriers provided by supermarkets to store our wine and beer glasses, not very elegant but out of site in the cupboards. We are however getting scuff marks on the sides of the acrylic as the cardboard doesn't fully reach the bottom of the carrier. I don't want the spring clip solution as we have lots of different size and shape of "glass" Any solution would be appreciated.

Like MichaelT we also use the boxes the glasses came in, perfect fit and does the job.

Just been to Ikea. Bought 6 wine glasses in a decently strong cardboard box and that's where they will stay in transit - cost £2.50 for the lot!
