Free MOT's at Halfords

our second daughter's car, which was ours and passed down and is now 11 years old, was usually MOT by my trusted local garage but the owner retired and no one has took over it yet. With some trepidation we went to our local Halfords auto garage and had a service and MOT for £100, it passed with the same advisories as last year so it would seem they are OK?

our cars are MOTd at a testing station that doesn't do repairs ... no financial interest in a pass or fail

extremely useful point for this thread

My point was that I wouldn't even take your car to Halfords for an MOT. As for last year's  advisories, if I knew the reg number, I could find find the past few year's advisories on line.

"I had my local Halford carryout an MOT and service once. "

Last week?

Last Month?

Last year?

or a decade or so ago?

Oddly enough just had a pair of rear tyres fitted on our Kuga at a Halfords which were on special offer and cheaper (not cheap tyres)  than all competitors. Wouldn't have expected it but there you are.
