Has anybody used a hanging shelves system to make better use of the wardrobe. Most van many factors don't put any shelves in the wardrobes .We are trying to think of a cheap solution without adding too much weight.

Yes, we use a hanging shelf thing from Ikea, it ties onto the wardrobe hanging rail.  We have a large wardrobe and very few clothes with us that need to be hung up, so this makes better use of the space.

Not hanging storage but I have bought (from Amazon) stacking shelf units to take undies and tee shirts etc etc - we are on holibobs- I don't want to wear clothes I have to keep smart and crease free.

i bought enough units to make a good Mtr high x 2 to fit side by side and they are just the job. I think in all about £20.

We've used a hanging shelf unit in the wardrobe for years, I can't remember where we bought it. We wouldn't do without it now, it's moved into 3 different vans so far😊 Great for underwear, socks, t-shirts and shorts etc, gives lots of extra storage. Mind you, we do always tend to get vans with larger wardrobes so half used up with our shelf unit still allows space for hanging clothes.
