Currently Aldi are selling 10 litres of AdBlue for £14.99.

Beware! AdBlue has a shelf life so it doesn’t pay to stock up.

Yes, the fresher the better l’m told, but it can stay in a vehicle tank for at least a year. Mine does between servicing. For those like me should we be changing it at intervals?

Thank you for that.

Although my initial post did not give a lowest price I'm glad I posted it because after reading your response I did some research about stoarge of AdBlue. I hadn't known that it should be stored between 11 degrees and 30. As a result I moved the new container from the shed to inside the house.

Thank you.

The benefit of forums, eh! 😀

True!

It's only since late April that we've had a vehicle requiring AdBlue so it was something new that we had to learn about.

Then you start learning the hard way about pouring it into the filler. Some bottles don’t have long enough spouts/nozzles to open the flap inside the filler pipe.

I’ve just asked my garage about Adblue with specific reference to low mileage vehicles, like mine, and the loss of its ‘potency’ when stored in the engine’s reservoir. It would appear that it may need draining and refreshing in such circumstances as older AdBlue can have a detrimental effect on the catalytic converter’s effectiveness. Such problems associated with the gas analysing sensors, amongst other things, can then throw up engine warning lights on the dash board. We live and learn.
