Stayed at Black Horse Farm site, Folkestone, on our way to France. What a shock to find that wifi had to be paid for at commercial rates, and that one had to jump through all those awful registration hoops before being allowed in. Didn't bother, but went to a pub instead.
During 5 weeks, we found that most French sites had free wifi, and the registration process was always brief and a doddle.
I have since leaned that the club's service is contracted through Air Angel, supposedly to reduce costs to the club. But it rather looks to me as though it's a means of generating income across the years, for someone. And this on top of not-cheap site fees and club sub's.
Previous posers say they pay £25 a year - and for how many days of actual use, I wonder. No, sorry - not at all impressed.

I wondered about paying for wifi as well. As I'm going to be touring for some time I've decided to buy an unlocked mobile wifi router device from Amazon and a data only sim plan. Usage will be heavy so I'll get a high GB level.
Wonder if sites have upload/download limits? Just a thought.

I brought the CMC WiFi annual package as I thought the £25 fee reasonable, however having now used it for a while I'm less sure. Like this website I have to log-on at each visit, which is a pain and it seems to take every opportunity to spit me off.
I find that where available the 4g mobile network offers a superior service so use that where I can
