The vast majority of pitches on club sites have hook up. In fact, it’s rare not to have EHU.
Serviced pitches (costing around £4 per night more) have their own fresh water taps and grey water drains but usually not chemical toilet emptying points. Motorhomers with onboard tanks generally find they do not need serviced pitches although some use them.
Service points will be found scattered around the site providing fresh water taps, grey water drains and toilet cassette emptying points.
In addition, the majority of sites have motorhome service points, of varying quality, providing the above facilities with the addition of drive over drains. MH owners should use these rather than block site roads by attempting to use ordinary service points to fill and empty tanks.
On the subject of pitches, there are also awning and non-awning pitches at the same price. Choose whichever suits you. There is no compulsion to erect an awning on an awning pitch and they are often more spacious and better positioned on most (but not all) sites.
It is not currently possible to specify a grass or hardstanding pitch when you book. It's pot luck.
Hope that helps.

A standard pitch in club terms is a space to put your outfit on, and could be grass or hardstanding. Also it could be awning or non awning, but that doesn't mean they are necessarily different sizes, just the distance between the pitches could change due to fire safety regulations. You normally get EHU on a standard pitch
A service pitch, again either grass or HS (but many are HS) is usually big enough for an awning but has it's own water supply and drain, so you could have 'running water' in your outfit with appropriate adaptors and waste pipes and no aqua rolls/wastemasters or filling and emptying of tanks. There are also super serviced which also has a point to empty your cassette toilet.
There have been long discussions about the extra charge, whether motor homes need them (but they are popular with MHs) but only you can decide if they are for you.
Personally I love them.

You love em, Corners, and the advantage is greater, to my mind, with a caravan.

also should have said again, this is on club sites, other non club sites have various terms, (standard, large, super...) which vary from one site to another, what might be 'standard' or 'super' on one site will be different in size to another site.
And of course some sites have these strange new age ideas about booking a HS or even a specific pitch (yes weird I know)

Posted on 19/02/2019 14:04 by TinwheelerThe non-club site scenario can also apply on the club's affiliated sites (AS) which are commercial sites rather than club owned/operated sites. They do their own thing.
Then there are CLs……
Gee, who said this game was simple?

there should be a monopoly version of club sites, Super serviced pitches for Mayfair and Park Lane, over there sites for the brown Old Kent road bits (as of course it is sooo much cheaper over there).
Toilets block for the utilities and free parking becomes free dog parking.
For me of course the go to jail cards would be replaced with CLs
