What Bedding?

We dont have a fixed bed, personally they just arent for me. We have traditionally always had sleeping bags in the van ( pull the slates out and make the bed up) But I hate the cold zip.

Does anyone else use the same bed arrangement? Ifrom so what do you do?

Many thanks for helping.

Higher rated sleeping bags have baffles to prevent the cold zip from touching you. In fact some have both baffles and plastic zips.

Wider sleeping bags?

We use sleeping bags. OH has a wider one than me. We don't zip them higher than shin level. Works for us.

I would not want a heavier grade bag as it woukd be too warm at night.

We use duvets. Ours have buttons at the bottom! Storage can be a problem and ours did not like being squashed. Some people are impressed with the Duvalay systems so I would suggest you have a look at those.

I use a duvet with a light mattress topper and roll it up under the window under a throw - it makes a good back rest during the day for feet up time.  Decided sleeping bags were no good years ago when under canvas - I don't know if they make them longerr now but at almost 6' they didn't work for me.

Exactly what we have at home - proper cotton sheets, goosedown duvet, and cotton duvet cover and pillowcases.

I'm afraid we've never gone in for sleeping bags.  I can't understand the rationale of having a 'state of the art' caravan and then 'camping' in it.  I wouldn't sleep in a sleeping bag (too restrictive), so even in our 'tenting' days we had real bedding.
