Our new (to us) caravan has a spacious end washroom and we are thinking about using the shower, the van is fitted with the alde water heater, any tips regarding the length of time before the hot water runs out Etc.

You failed to spot that eurotraveller is a caravanner and we caravanners dont use Aires, we use proper campsites open to all (even tents) and they have facilities, probably why you never see a rollerbarrel unless  its a Brit

So there you go.  After 7 pages the answer is you will have to try out your shower yourself, to see if it works for you.   I would comment that it is worth remembering that Alde has a boost function which increases the hot water temperature, therefore a tank goes further as well as heating up quicker at the cost of effectively switching the heating off.  The other consideration is that most people who use there own facilities have two Aquarolls for convenience.

Finally, I am I the only person who has queued up for  a site shower  only to find it's not that clean and the water is at best a tepid trickle?

I cant ever recall queuing for a shower CMC site or otherwise, have occasionally found the water cooler than I like (even at Morn Hill once) and lack of cleanliness I cant recall being problem either.

I am off shortly to spend some weeks on a site that I am not ashamed to say has more luxurious showers than my own home, if site facilities are not up to scratch there is a simple answer take yourself off to somewhere better

The only facilities, I require are a fresh water tap and a CDP.
