Schengen Visa application

Hi

We don't own our own motorhome but am seriously thinking of buying. We would dearly love to tour Europe for a few weeks at a time. However I have a doubt about the Schengen Visa application process as my wife is Chinese and must get a Schengen visa. Given that in a motorhome you don't have any hotel or accommodation bookings, how do you get round (if that's the right choice of words) this requirement in the Schengen Via application process?

Love to hear anyone's experience of this.

Steve

Steve, it will better to contact the French consulate in London for advice rather than asking on a forum. They are the ones who issue these visas, and they know the rules.

I got a reply from the French embassy to say that not having any accommodation bookings should not be a reason for refusal. So good news and hope to enjoy our first trip to France back end of the summer.

If anyone else is interested in a visa for France allowing >90 days the Cruising Association (boats!) is doing a web seminar talking through the process. There is a similar problem for them as they also would not have a fixed accommodation address in France.

There is a charge of £10 for the webinar, though.

Hi Steve,

Just wondering how your trip went. My wife and I are in the same position. She is a Bolivian citizen. On the visa application you have to put in an accommodation address. As it stands we don't intend on spending a single night in France as are heading to Germany and Austria in our campervan. Just wondering how you got around this section in the application form?

Cheers
