Hi everyone, Could anyone advise which is the easiest route to Kings Lynn when travelling South  I am looking at the M62 - A1 - A47  or A15 - A17 We have to stop at Lincoln on the way back.

Would appreciate any comments regarding route and any help with CL's in the Kings Lynn area.

I've dome M62-A1-A47 before, that's an easy route.  (I wasn't towing at the time)  the A47 is a single carriage way, but it's a fairly straight road.  So, you'll be able to cruise on it.  Leave plenty of space to the vehicle in front, as you'll most likely get over taken by lots of cars.

neither are great roads, especially compared with the earlier part of your route M62/A1. Your return journey via Lincoln would surely be more direct to use the A17?

sorry, no knowledge of Kings Lynn CL sites but just past at Snettisham is the one at the Deer Park, of interest due to the trips you can take on a tractor/trailer to go out and see the numerous deer.

I would use M62, A1 to Newark, then A17 going. A17, A15 to Lincoln and then A57 back to A1 going back. Sorry can't help with CL's

I would possibly go A15 to M180/M18 M62 on the way back but agree with SteveL for route there.  But I am a bit further north east of Lincoln and pick up the A15 to go north.  Nicola has a Nice CL near Lincoln but can't remember the name at the moment.

Leave lots of time for the A17 it always seems very slow to me!

We mostly use A17 from the A1.  Obviously if your going to Lincoln on the way back just turn off the A17 up the A15.

Couple of years ago we stayed at Clear View which is a couple of miles passed Sutton Bridge.  Copy of my review below:

Spent 2 nights here as it was convenient for POI I wanted to visit. Due to the weather/ground conditions I arranged to telephone owners to sort out where to pitch. Apart from this and paying on departure I saw/heard nothing from the owners. When I left the lady didn't even enquire if everything was OK. In the summer this would be a lovely site, individual hedged and serviced pitches. There are no toilets/showers and the wifi is non existent on the pitches. Massive field behind CL which looks as though it could support a rally. If the wind is from a westerly direction the power station turbine is apparent

We've stopped at Old School House, No.1154 in site directory, and would use it again. It had one H/S pitch and lots of room on the grass.

Another one in the area that has been recommended on CT is Abbey CL. No.1148.

Both of these CLs are a few miles away from KL, there are a few closer but don't know anything about them. Hope this helps.
