Depends on if you want a club site or not and when you are going. Rookesbury Park is about 11 miles away, but does not open until March 10th. Or there is Morn Hill (Winchester) about 30 miles away. Both have ferry pitches if that type is required.

The other club have a site at Chichester 10 miles away but that does not open until February 3rd.

if you're just doing an overnight park up before the ferry, Port Solent provides a freebie spot with numerous pubs/restaurants to choose from. Just ring them to confirm. Ten minutes to the ferry from there.
