Pest-proof outdoor boxes

No. my sister is not throwing me out of her caravan, but...

When parked up she would like to store some bits outside to make more room. In particular dog food, etc. She is concerned about animals such as foxes chewing their way through.

Can anyone suggest modest (say 5kg) storage boxes, washing up bowls etc, with secure lids that are not likely to be chewed up and scattered all over the campsite overnight?

Thank you.

I also use a plastic storage box under the caravan without problems. However I always check it carefully at the end of our stay and before lifting into the van, because earwigs love to hide in nooks and crannies and you could bring them inside, yuk.

We once had hedgehogs on overnight forays enter the awning and eat our dogs food etc but we would never see them as pests. In fact, once we realised who the visitors were we left some titbits out for them. smile

We take a freezer box with our frozen stuff and then (when emptied into the fridge once its cold) use it for storage under the van.

Thank you.  A cool box would be a useful addition to her caravan as well.

Some ammunition boxes have small drainage holes in the bottom which are not proof against ants.

A useful observation, thank you.

No such thing as animal proof.  You only have to see what the Badgers get through at St Davids CC.

I bought this not long again, it does a job and is reasonably priced.
