I have used the flat coax type of aerial cable for 4 years now because the aerial on my Elddis is a stick type which is a poor aerial at best of times, bought it off e-bay for only a couple of pounds, its only about a foot long, one end connects via a tv cable to tv, the other to a normal coax cable outside to outside aerial or box, works brilliantly through a window or door without damaging any seals, worth every penny.

David,

I struggled to remove the speaker in my Bailey caravan when I needed to retrieve the power lead for the aerial amplifier which had fallen back into the hole. It was simple to remove the speaker once I realised that the mesh can be easily prised out of the surround using a small screwdriver.

Having fed the power lead back I secured it to the others with a tie wrap ;-)

The caravan has to go in for a service on 30th May, so I'm leaving it for the service department to do.  They know it's on the list of jobs to do.  Then I'll get on with installing the splitter.

I just use the Satellite connection in the battery box on my Elddis with an adaptor  on the input and one at the TV end. As said the adaptors are so cheap. its the easiest way assuming you have an external connection that is?

Thanks everyone,  particularly the person that offered to post us an adaptor . I am informed that we do have an adaptor but we think it's at home with our original manuals. We are using the window option at the moment...good too 're the insect repellents .ed have a supply of smidge the midge. We will retrieve our adaptor and experiment next time we on a similar site.
