We are booked for our first rally and don’t now where to start.

We always go on sites with electric hook ups so are worried what we will need, do we need to buy a solar panel etc

Any help is appreciated please.

Thank you

I think you need to start by telling us how long you will be away and what 12v appliances you intend using.

Obviously, you will use gas as much as you can but, for the rest, you leave us guessing.

There is a sticky thread here about coping without EHU which might be of interest -

You should be ok for a couple of nights, especially if you have a battery of more than 100APH. You wont be able to use a TV unless it is a 12v one. Again use it sparingly if it can be run off 12v and you should be ok. If you intend ralling regularly it would be worth getting a solar panel.

You need 12v appliances for them to run off your battery. The 240v sockets will not work and your heating, water heating and fridge will only run on gas.
