Things didn't go to plan. Still now have a new. Well quite old van! Bailey Pagent Champagne. Full marks to Pauline at KAKVS for towing it home for me. And waiting patiently for over 4 hours until it was in a fit state to go. The good news is it's been well looked after. Serviced every year since it was new & repaired regardless of cost.  It's in pretty good condition. The lighting is the old halogen type. Power hungry & run very hot. Would the small spots be GU4's? There are a few larger lights that also have halogens in them. Do I need to replace the entire fitting? Don't want the kids scared for life. Though compared to the old gas mantles there pretty safe! Want to go LED.

Have to work out how to drain the toilet.

Bought a safefill cylinder from Ace energy Greetland. Cost only £6 to fill it. So should pay for itself within the year!

Still need a battery. Are leisure batterys any lighter than car ones? How big do I need. 90AMPH? 120AMP? 75?? Smaller batteries a lot cheaper.

Got a small bottle jack in Halfrauds as I don't fancy waiting for the AA to change a tyre. And fitting the ALKO wheel lock is a lot easier with one....That was todays job & at least now the club insurance is valid! It was of cause p***ing down the whole time. The Joy of caravaning.

Still don't know how the car pulls it as no time to mess with it yet. A lot to take in really.
