Hi everyone,

I don't know if it's the same across the UK, but we really felt a drop in temperature here in Sussex yesterday! It looks like autumn has set in.

We're looking for your tips and recommendations for anyone new to touring who may not have experienced caravanning and motorhoming in the autumn and winter seasons.

What are your top tips and must-have items?

Hannah

And Back To Hannah's request for top tips / indispensible items :--

Don't forget the Spanner for the gas bottles !!  In  fact I carry TWO ( 2 ) -- one to use and one to lose  wink !!

Truly there's nothing worse than having to hunt for one at  Freeze o'clock in the early morning

My spanner is stuck to a couple of strong magnets inside the top of my gas locker ..... it's always where I left it. ☺

That’ll be the ‘unpredictable’ weather as per the forecast I suppose😀

Horizontal rain? Come on, BB, that was nothing like horizontal. It was a bit windy and we had some rain but you do exaggerate 😂😂😂

Enjoy today’s sun.

I suspect that the quote you were trying to emulate was:

“There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing.”

yes, you're right Rocky, we got lashed...and 'twer horizontal....water does that when being propelled by 40+ mph winds...

we took a walk on the dunes and then back via the beach, as we'd finished our soupwink

obviously TW lives in the sheltered part of cornwall.

just driven back home, far quieter here and by the time we got to exeter.

however, Malaga, it aint....although i tend to use that area for golf rather than touring, plenty of nice places away from the 'resorts'.

as MM so astutely pointed out, i suggested touring away was not just an alternative but an additional way to tour in winter.

Not particularly sheltered, BB, but clearly an element of careful selection is wise. I’m staggered that anyone would choose to walk on a beach in the conditions you describe😂😂😂
