Motor mover help please

Hello Trevor, yep mover runs from your main van battery once your main power isolater (on mine brightly coloured plastic switch) normaly in the battery box, is switched to the right or clockwise, I'm a bit mystified about broken wire's in the handset normaly just printed circuit boards in them but not being an expert not sure, but when you get your replacement you will probably have to pair it with your control box, should have directions for this with the new one..

Could you not have re-soldered the wire - that would have been a lot cheaper?

Your mover operates from the van's leisure battery only.

A 1998 Bucanneer will have mains to the van, but the mains cable must be disconnected when attempting to move the van. The mains switches play no part in using the mover.

Once you are set up, switch the van's charger on to restore the battery power level - don't leave it partially discharged.

Thanks for that was what I thought, I tried soldering the wire back on the terminal but it broke off at the other end, I'm down in the ardeche and thought better to get a new one.

Hi trevorstretch, m/mover runs purely off caravan leisure battery. Word of warning, if ever the leisure battery is low on power and you are in the midst of using the mover to move the van, don't connect up your 240 volt electric cable in the hope of boosting up the power in the battery. This has been known to damage the electronics of the movers workings.

Hi Trevor. I had a problem with my remote controller recently. My problem was that I broke one of the wires connecting the battery that powers the remote control. They are quite thin and it does not take much to break them. Fortunately a friend who is a dab hand with a soldering iron re soldered it for me. I tell you this so that when you eventually have to replace the remote battery, you need to be careful.
