Leisure battery - how does it get charged?

Hello,

Brand spanking new to this caravanning malarkey and really looking forward to getting my first caravan in the next month or so. Have done loads of research and am in my second year of CC membership. But theres one particular thing I just cannot fathom and your help/advice would be much appreciated.

Leisure battery. I understand that a leisure battery will operate 12v components. I understand that one could have an inverter and then the battery would operate 240v components. I understand that a leisure battery allows some folk to be off-grid (off-ehu) in remote spots, which they very much like. But tell me this, if you would be so kind, assuming one has pitched in a non-ehu location and is using only 12v accessories powered by the leisure battery, how does one re-charge the leisure battery without taking the caravan for a spin with the car? Because I don't suppose the battery would last for a nice 14 day non-ehu non-driving stop, and I believe that it would empty of charge even quicker if an inverter was being used as well.

Many thanks & kind regards.
