We have made the plunge!    Apart from childhood holidays in a static caravan I have never been caravanning.   We have just purchased a Coachman VIP 520 from Sussex Caravans and collected it yesterday.   The first challenge was to get along the A264 into East Grinstead without wiping out the trees on one side of the trucks on the other.    Then the East Grinstead one way system before the relative calm of the M25 back to Egham.    The van is now sitting on the drive courtesy of our motor mover.   Our first trip is to Henley with friends who also have a Coachman.     We are delighted with the caravan which is beautifully finished.  We originally had thought that we would favour the fixed bed version but decided on the larger sitting area and small dining table as it seemed so much more spacious.  The rear bathroom which is effectively a dressing room met with favour.   The dining area can convert to bunks for our grandchildren when needed.    This weekend will be a dry run on the drive and get everything set up and taken down again.   We are looking forward to venturing further afield.
