First Outing Experience...

Recently took the plunge and bought a very nice 2001 Sterling Eccles Moonstone, for very reasonable money (after upgrading the car to something that was actually capable of removing the skin from a rice pudding). After much googling and reading, also acquired everything we thought we needed, spent a week cleaning and testing everything, then booked 2 nights at a quiet Caravan club CL not far from home to give it a test run. We went to just outside Saffron Walden in a pretty remote site but easily accessible, that was nice and quiet with only 2 other people on site. All went rather well, other than finding out that we could have done with some extra waste pipe and fittings, and the great British weather helping us check the van for leaks. Managed to sneak in a couple of BBQ's between showers and had a generally pleasent time.

On the Saturday night however, the occupants of the one other caravan returned about 11pm and decided that that was an ideal time to start some kind of party, with the music thumping until well after 2am.

Is this what we have to expect from our new hobby and Caravan Club members, or were we just unlucky?? Seems like a really odd place to go to behave in that way, totally defeats the object of going somewhere peaceful!
