EE 4G WiFi Mini

Hi All

It's coming up again to renew out yearly club "WiFi" subscription but I noticed that the club has done a deal with EE to supply a 4G WiFi Mini!

(See Link: https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/membership/member-offers/ee-4g-wifi-mini/ )

Now these things can be used in the car travelling or at the site and as its "4G" its meant to be quite fast? So our questions are too fold?

First, Has any member got one of these and is using it now?

Second, And if so whats it like?

Would be interesting as some sites only have poor signals and perhaps this is the answer?

Await any comments and thanks to all!

Have also spoke to "EE" regarding top up's! they come in the form of online @ £7 = 1Gb or £13.00 = £2Gb however the only problem with these is that they are 30 day usage? So you either use it or lose it?.

There is another option they offered us which was if you are low users then they will sell you a 12 month sim card which comes loaded with a total of 6Gb which drip feeds the unit every month with 500mb and every month thereafter for a period of 12 months and then expires this is charges at £16.99?

So as said comments would be great on this item? Or should we just stick with the clubs WiFi service at £25 for the year but no car coverage?

My contract says yes but I don't know what if any charge will be. I don't go out the country so doesn't bother me.

Thanks lornalou1 I think I will go for this one, i will just enquire about euro use as we spend a lot of the summer ( usually ) in Europe and we use our data on the phones

Three offer a Mifi modem that is self contained. Runs for 6 hours on an internal battery. Charges from leisure battery or mains. £21 a month for 24 months unlimited data. 4G.  Generally never had a problem with signal except in Dorset.

i bought an 4GEE WiFi Mini last year at Currys where they signed me up for a £20 contract.  I cancelled that and converted to PAYG as only really use it in summer months when I buy blocks of data which last various lengths. It is generally faster that club wifi and you can have multiple items on. I am only a single user but can see greater benefit for families. I plug it into the socket intended for the uninstalled microwave.

I’m with Smarty on a rolling monthly renewal ( no contract ).They use Three network. Prices are fantastic.  £10 per month for 30GB, unlimited texts and calls. Both of us connect our iPads in the Motorhome to watch bbciplayer, YouTube and surfing.  Great stuff. And great connection too!
