Easily accessible sites in the North West

We're collecting our first caravan next week and have never towed even the smallest trailer, never mind a 22' long van!  We do a lot of walking in the Lake District and Eden Valley and are well aware how narrow and winding the lanes around there are.  Which CC sites are the easiest to access in these areas?  (I hope that we will take full advantage of CL sites in future, but want to start with a bigger CC site in case we have any problems setting up on site for the first time - and you caravanners seem to be a helpful bunch, so we're relying on you for assistance if need be !)  Any suggestions gratefully received.
