Disabled parking in a motorhome

Hi, we got our first ever motorhome a few weeks ago :) It is a steep learning curve, but reading the forums has been very helpful. I haven't seen anything on this though (sorry if I missed it, I did try searching).

I am disabled so I have a blue parking badge. I was concerned to discover parking is a difficult issue in a motorhome in most places and I wondered if anyone had any experience with a blue badge, or advice, or links to resources. I can't even find things online, google keeps finding sites with info about blue badges and motorhomes as separate issues, not blue badge holders *with* a motorhome! Maybe my google skills are lacking, but I thought I may as well ask here.

For example, if you need to take 2 spaces (it is 8m long because my disability means I need an island bed and a roomy layout) can you use the blue badge for both? For one pay for the other?

If I plan ahead I can email the council of where I am going to find out of course, but the freedom of the open road and being able to change plans and follow a whim is one of the attractions of a motorhome! I don't want to have to tow a car - 8m is scary enough :)
