CL Sites with toilets (Delicate subject)

OK, Time for a delicate topic. With many sites not opening toilet or shower blocks, Im somewhat baffled how people are going on in caravans or motorhomes on these sites.

Ive looked at CL sites but odd though it seems, most do not appear to have the most basic thing that being a loo !

Maybe it's just me, but I find it inconceivable toilets in motorhomes or caravans would be used for anything but a convenient pee, heaven forbid anybody should tell me Im wrong ha !

Are there such a thing as CL sites with a shower and loo ?

Thank you all for your comments. Although I still add, apart from a pee I find it inconceivable for any other use lol

Try it some time, then that conception may be proven not that well founded.

I, for one, find it disappointing that so many CL's are installing showers and toilets on site. This inevitably means the pitch fees increase to cover the cost of installation and we have now got to the point where £20 a night is not uncommon. I always understood that CL's were intended to have the basics for those who did not want the add ons.

Why is it not possible to charge a lower rate for a pitch with the basics and then offer a higher fee for use of the "facilities" and issue a key or electronic card to access them? That way we can all enjoy the same sites without the added cost or end up being excluded because we do not want to pay the inflated fees.

Where is this all going to end, are we going to have CLs with pools and club houses!!!

I know of one CL that does operate a 2 tier charging system depending whether you want access to the facilties or not.

There are plenty of basic CLs out there if that's what you want and there's a sticky thread running giving details of them.

There's plenty of choice of all types of site - something for everyone.
