buying a motorhome ?

hello , 

i,m thinking of buying a motorhome and have been browsing classified ads on here and elsewhere , i have noticed that a lot of the classifieds on here say for sale and when you click to go to the linked site it says hire ? please can someone explain to me how it works , is it really like £5000 to hire a motorhome ? and for how long etc etc , 

any help would be appreciated
