Am I being silly - first caravan twin axle?

I have a really nice motorhome, but I am thinking that a caravan maybe a better option, due to the ability to have transport with you at the other end - and to be honest, I tend to pitch up put an awning up and leave the MH were it is for a week.  Yes I could tow a car but I am not convinced I am making the best use of the motorhome.  And a top of the range motorhome is 3 times that of a top of the range caravan.

Now the question, because I have a nice 7.5m motorhome, I am not prepared to compromise if I switch to a caravan.  Looking at caravans there only seems to be one that we like (even then not quite as much as our current MH ).  That is an Elddis Supersirocco.  This is a very long van - 8m.   I would have to change my car, I would probably go for a discovery as it has won Towcar of the year.

But in reality am I being stupid?  A discovery/Elddis combination is going to be very long, is it silly to go from never towed to something of this size?  I would of course go on one of the towing courses and do due dilligence.  Is there much difference in difficulty towing this sort of set up than a much smaller single axle set up?

Or should I just stick with the motorhome and stick an aframe on the car?
