Air in taps problems

Hi All 

being very new to caravaning i feel i may be making a rookie mistake which is causing me so much frustration its unbelievable, every time we set up or change aquaroll we end up having major issues with air in pipes and getting it out and the water flowing correctly.

1) is there a particular foolproof method in connecting aquaroll , turning pump on and turning heater on.

2) when changing aquaroll should i turn pump and heater off, as currently i justlet pump pipe lay on floor while i fill up.
