We're new to caravanning!

Hi we're new to caravanning, just bought our first caravan (20yrs old) to practice with. If we don't kill it within a couple of years we'll upgrade. We have 5 children and a dog so thought it would be an affordable way to see the country. We both did a lot of caravanning as children and took the  "setting up" completely for granted. Still have no idea how to do this....frantically reading books! The tow bar has now been fitted to the car so the terrifying prospect of the first tow will soon be upon us. Definately thinking about doing a CC course. Any tips gratefully recieved.

The first site we've booked is A Club site at Bransgore, thought it sensible to have showers and toilets in case we can't work our own! lol. We can't wait to stay in our van for the first time, both getting a little old for a tent.

The second site we've booked is Doghouse Farm in Chideock, a CL site-getting braver. I think there is a West Hants rally there at the same time (june bank hol)....so no giggling at our incompetence as we try to errect the awning as it will only be our second time! Paul spent loads of time here with his parents in the West Hants CC 25-30 years ago!

We look forward to meeting you all! :-)
