Turning back the clock!

Last year we bought our third caravan! Numbers one and two we bought over 20 years ago when the children were small. We were pleasantly surprised to find the new caravans had showers and flushing loos! Our last one had a posh bucket with a seat attached! We have been to a few CL sites and find them ideal for us and our two Cocker Spaniels - we have no need for clubs and play areas now. We would ideally like to find a CL site by the side of a loch or lake, or indeed the sea, with access to lots of walks and wildlife. The van is ideal, too, when visiting our daughter in West Sussex - beats the settee or floor and we avoid the early wake up call of our grandkids whose eyes open at the crack of dawn!

I suppose we are 'recycled' caravanners as well as recycled teenagers!

Welcome DP from another Recycled Caravanner and Teenager!  New technology has been a steep learning curve for me.  I have cursed the electronic loo on a few occasions!  Mine doesn't tolerate travelling with much water in the flush tank although it seems some do.  So right about visiting with the van too although some have taken persuading that I am comfortable in my own space!  Enjoy.

Hi Dunpubbin and welcome to Club Together.  It's good to hear that you're enjoying your renewed enthusiasm for our hobby.  Caravans have certainly come a long way since our first van.

You could post in the CL Section for more help on recommendations.
