I only ever leave ours out overnight if it is guaranteed flat calm and also no rain ( I rarely get it wet and never roll it in wet ) . To replace it would be in excess of £700, plus any damage it may cause to the van if it came adrift and it just isn't worth the risk as it's very quick to roll in.

We probably use ours differently as it's also been a good shelter to keep the rain off when bringing dogs back from walks etc. Ours is integral to the vehicle so it's housing is in the van. We use it wet or dry, it's lasted well. One good point to remember if using it like we do is to lower one end slightly so that rain doesn't collect anywhere.
