Hi everyone,

We know that often people come to Club Together to ask questions and/or share advice. In fact, the forum has been very useful to many and has become a valuable source of information. At the Club, we also have a fantastic team of Technical Advisors, who are there to offer help, advice and assistance to Club members. Kelly, has been contributing on Club Together since the forum launched in 2012. We also have Eileen, Nigel and David from the Technical Team and they are all going to be contributing on the community from time to time to offer their advice and also post about any common questions that have been coming through from members or any topical subjects that might be of interest to our forum members. If there’s any subject you would like the Club’s technical team to discuss or advise on please let us know.

Hi everyone, I've temporarily removed Ask the Expert to avoid further confusion as we've not had an expert for awhile but will look to reinstate this when we have new experts. In the meantime I'm hoping to get more staff engaged on the community and hopefully the contributions from our technical team will be appreciated. In the past Kelly has contributed on Club Together but Eileen, Nigel and David will be new to posting on the forum. They do of course have other responsibilities but will look to help answer member's questions where they can. We have had a discussion on Club Together before regarding the advice given from the technical team so hopefully their input will be a valuable addition to Club Together. smile

So, it was rather easy to do really.

Who is taking the micky out of who?

Are there many other changes that can be made to better the forum or are they all still on the ignore list?

Hi EJB986, I can move discussion rooms and I have put Ask the Expert in the hidden area for the time being. Unfortunately not everything else is that easy as the defects need .net/development support. If there are quick fixes to anything member's are finding frustrating that I can help with then I will action this as I want to try and do whatever I can to assist where I can.

Have you an answer to my question on page 2 regarding legal liability yet, please, Rowena?

You know it makes sense, Rowena.

The section was always doomed and has been a dead duck for months.

One question, Rowena. Can you confirm, please, whether the club accepts legal responsibility for any events occurring as a result of information given by the Technical Team in the event of it proving to be inaccurate, unsafe, or in breach of any regulation?

presumably the club will carry some form of professional indemnity insurance

One would hope so, One.

Ro is obviously still investigating.

Rowena.

Your link just goes to a thread where someone thanks the team for the advice given and doesn't clarify why we should take notice of what the team says.

Can you please confirm the technical teams sphere of expertise, their qualifications and experience so that we may more clearly understand why their comments and advice are to be accepted and actioned? Thanks

Hi everyone, Sorry, not ignoring you. I've requested further information from the Technical Manager as he will be able to give you much more detailed information than me and I hope to post this tomorrow. Sorry for not updating you earlier, a busy day and then got home to play with and then put the little one to bed. The link in the meantime was to give you an idea of the type of questions the team can help you with and I hope this helps. smile

I think all the liability limits etc can be seen in the terms and conditions. Normal company practice in these circumstances.
