Hello forums,
Myself and my partner "Batlad" have just returned from our first trip in a motorhome, it was a bit of an impulse purchase though we had been looking for the right unit within our budget, we came away from a reputable dealer in the East Scottish Borders, who specialise in conversions, with a 25 year old Talbot which is in pretty good nick.
We chose the C&MC for the access to the CL network of small quiet places, we're over 50's and don't really want family friendly, all singing & dancing Holiday Parks.
On this trip we used different sites almost every night and found the whole experience easy even though we set off before our welcome pack had arrived, necessitating the use of available Wi-Fi to search for our next rest stop. Batlad did suggest some "Off-Grid" stops but I'm not sure I'm ready to go completely "wild" yet. Do any members have any tips for this? I'm not asking for locations as such, just advice on the legality and safety of parking somewhere quiet and staying a night. There's conflicting advice all over the internet which mostly relates to Wild Camping in Scotland and not to MH use.
