Hi All, I am now the proud owner of an Abbey GTS 418 2008 model. I spent all yesterday picking her up and cleaning her inside and out. I am ooking forward to finding out more about the cub and hoping to get away a fair bit this year and next.

What I was amazed at was the price of the clubs insurance which was over £100 more than I paid. It isn't precisely like for like but very close.

I was also amazed by what I call the "Al-KO wheel-lock insurance scam". Some insurance companies seemed to demand an Al-Ko lock that went into the chasis but most were happy with and "Sold-Secure" model of wheel lock, although they didn't always volunteer this information. The Al-Ko would have cost me £230+ for a reduction of £20 max on the insurance. Instead, I paid the extra £10 - £20 and bought a Daimond wheel lock for £70 - a considerable saving.
