I use Carapak products especially the wash and wax as necessary. About twice a year after a wash and wax i use Autoglym polish on the roof and occasionally on the sides to remove stubborn marks.

I do similar for the caravan, which does not have the same high quality of a motorhome. I use Turtlewax car wash and then roof and front are Autoglym car polished at start of season and before winter lay-up under under breathable cover. Throughout the year any tar marks or stains are cleaned with a spot of white spirit as soon as I see them and the area given a re-polish.

My previous van had a dimpled finish and I used to give it a spray with Fenwicks Bobby Dazzler after it's wash and then wipe it over. It was very easy to apply and the finish was excellent. To be honest I'm thinking of going this route instead of the Autoglym car polish.

This Easter a friendly neighbour whilst cleaning his van on site recommended a product called Wet & Forget. Never heard of it but he suggested it cleans and prevents algal growth on caravan roofs. Anyone tried this?
