No!!! Your leisure battery will only power 12v appliances, not your 240v kettle, hair dryer, microwave, iron etc etc. Nor will it power your fridge unless the engine is running. Boil a kettle on the gas ring.

it is possible to use 240V AC appliances via a 12v battery BUT you need an inverter which makes a kind of mains voltage. The easiest & cheapest way though is as TW suggests above .... keep it simple & use gas. 😉

I was trying to keep it as simple as possible for a newbie. I did think, though, that if I said not to try heating the plastic electric kettle on the gas ring, it might be seen as over doing the simplicity😂😂

Even easier, fill a vacuum flask with boiling water before you set off. Use that to make a hot drink while on route.

Agree, it’s what we do. Perhaps a hold over from caravanning days when it was more of a faff, but works fo us.

Those 12 volt electrical devices mentioned, take an age if you want more than one cup, we had one years ago.
