Been a CC member for 7 years but not bothered registering with Club Together before though have dipped in and read a lot of the discussions - with interest!

Disabled wife of the main member Alex, we much enjoy our trips all around the UK. We try to get out all year round but have had to curtail some outings this year. 1. due to major damp problem with our 2011 Sterling Eccles Quartz (returning to Swift for remedy during September after our summer trips) 2. the sad loss of my mother in May - requiring cancellation of 3 week Devon trip.

Just had a most enjoyable week at Knaresborough CC site incorporating the Gt Yorks Show and due shortly to go off to Norfolk Broads CC site, meeting up with other family members. We dont do CLs as much anymore as I prefer hardstandings and proper paths due to use of a wheelchair.

Looking forward to joining in discussions now Happy

Welcome  to  "This  'Vanning  Life',  CC  &  CT. May  you  have  much  pleasure  on  'ere  &  on  your  trips  out  as  well.

As  a  wheelchair  user  don't  be  afraid  to  tell  the  Club  { &  us  as  well }  if  you  find  problems  on  site !!  many  obvious  difficulties  do not  seem  to  be  reported  &  so  cannot  be  fixed  !!

Thanks ABM. Not really come across many problems so far on CC sites, just niggly ones like siting of hairdryer in disabled facilities on an opposite wall to the mirror. So handy! not.

CC sites are normally very well thought out from our point of view, thank goodness. Gravel paths are the main bugbear on some affiliated sites. I know its probably cheaper than tarmac but the wheelchair and walker which I use just bog down.

Welcome C/CatHappy, had you considered keeping a log of the problems you've encountered with your limited mobility with the idea of informing the CC?. It could do both yourself & others a good turn if the CC rectify any access issues. It is in the CC's favour to ensure access to the sites for all its members.
