Hi all. New member joined today in view of starting a new life as a full timer tourer in a motorhome in the near future. Doing tons of research into this to be as prepared, practical and 'legal' as possible and with any such venture one of the best sources of information, knowledge and experience is from those who have 'been there, done that, bought the T-shirt'. I will no doubt be posting many questions - that I have thought of already - but the first, rather important one is to find insurance companies that will cover you as a full time tourer. I have not yet exhausted my list of insurers to phone but even with those I have already (including C & MC) I am coming up with 'NO' answers - "don't cover vehicles older than 2005 -  less that £25000 in value - don't provide cover with no fixed abode address". Considering full time touring is becoming more popular, is completely legal to do in the UK (and go to Europe) and is completely legal and common to choose to leave a bricks and mortar 'home' and tour and live in a motorhome full time, I am finding it incredulous that I am getting these responses from insurance companies that are particularly in the 'Caravan and Motorhome' insurance field - AND have actually been recommended on full timer blogs! One chap even stressed to use the term 'full time tourers.

So, I would be extremely grateful if anyone could recommend or knows for sure insurance companies who cover full time tourers who will only have an address for post, to save me ringing all and sundry just to be told 'NO'.

Many thanks in advance

Ufaa

I act as a post box for my brother.  He is single, mid 70s and has no UK property and has been full time MHomer for 6 years.  I believe when he started he was with the other club but have no idea who he is with now, but will try an find out
